Special Jacobean Year Celebration

8 Nights / 6 days of Walking
July 18th - July, 26th 2027

2027 is a special year for all Camino pilgrims. It is a Jacobean Holy Year because the Feast of St. James, July 25th, falls on a Sunday. It's been six years since the last time this happened. Ending your Camino pilgrimage in Santiago de Compostela just in time to celebrate St. James' Day is a unique opportunity and allows you to take part in all of the Holy Year celebrations including a special mass, outdoor concerts, and the chance to descend to the tomb of St. James. This tour is designed for all pilgrims - from teenagers to seniors. We'll walk the last 70 miles of the Camino to qualify for the Camino certificate. Everyone can walk at their own pace to cover the route that  varies between 9-15 miles per day. We'll enjoy the camaraderie of a small group and a local guide, and at night stay in atmospheric towns in a selection of comfortable hotels and guesthouses where the local flavors are introduced by our hosts. You'll also have the option to add on time in Madrid before the Camino and time in Portugal after the Camino. Don't miss this rare opportunity! Register now with a $500 deposit to reserve your spot.

A Few Important Things to Note:

Before booking one of our tours, there are a few important things to note.

01

Be Prepared to Walk!

In each city, we walk to many of the sites we visit. The walking time is usually about 15-25 minutes at a leisurely pace. You will always have the option to take a taxi or other form of transportation, but it will be at your own expense.

04

Local Tour Operators

For some day trips and excursions, we take advantage of local third-party tour companies. All of the tour operators we work with have been personally vetted by us.

02

Your luggage

As we are a small tour operation, we expect our clients to handle their own luggage when necessary (i.e. at the airport, when getting on the train, etc.). If you have more than one large suitcase and a carry on, you may need to pay an additional fee for flights taken within the destination country.

05

Music, Movies, Books!

Before each trip, we send you a curated list of music to listen to, movies to watch, and books to read to prepare you for your destination. All optional of course!

03

Daily Schedule

Our tours are a mix of scheduled activities and free time as we prefer to give you some time to explore and dine on your own. We usually schedule 1 or 2 primary activities for each day and group meals on some days, but everything is optional. We always include an orientation walking tour on the first day in a new city and give you plenty of recommendations! For more information on a typical tour itinerary, see the "Read More" sections above.
